This extensive exterior project transformed a standard suburban yard into a fully-featured, elegant outdoor retreat, perfect for relaxation and grand entertaining. The design seamlessly integrates hardscaping, custom water features, and dedicated lounging areas.

Project Scope and Vision:

The remodel involved meticulous site grading (as seen in the "before" photos and the conceptual plan) and the installation of custom hardscaping to create defined outdoor zones.

Key Features and Materials:

Custom In-Ground Pool and Patio:

• Construction: The pool features a custom, free-form shape (curved design visible in the construction rebar and finished photos) with an integrated stone spillover spa area, creating a soothing focal point.

• Patio: The main pool deck and surrounding patio areas are paved with large, irregularly shaped natural slate or flagstone pavers (multi-toned grey, green, and brown), which provide a rich, earthy texture and a slip-resistant surface around the pool.

Outdoor Living Structures:

• Pavilion: A custom-built covered pavilion stands adjacent to the pool, offering a shaded area for dining or lounging. It features supporting white columns and a dark roof that matches the main house aesthetic.

• Pergola: A white painted vinyl pergola defines an outdoor dining or seating space, adding architectural interest and light shade.

Hardscaping and Retaining Walls:

• Curved Stone Walls: The patio is framed by sweeping, low retaining walls and seat walls, constructed from stacked natural stone (rough-cut fieldstone style) with smooth stone capstones for seating and accent lighting bases. These walls define the space and provide integrated seating areas.

• Aesthetic Integration: The use of natural stone on the spillover spa, retaining walls, and patio paving creates a cohesive, high-end, and organic look throughout the entire space.

Entrance and Access:

• A custom exterior staircase (Brazilian Cherry with white vinyl/composite risers and railings) provides direct, safe access from the main house to the new patio level.

The result is a stunning, multi-functional outdoor living environment—a resort-like setting that extends the home’s usable space and offers a luxurious backdrop for swimming, dining, and relaxation.
